Hi
I have just joined the forums and noticed this old post.
Looks like the relevant information is missing - as follows.
He is referring to the Aquavan
www.aquavan.com.au
I own one of these modern-day caraboats and when I recently discovered this site I thought some of you may be interested in knowing more about it.
We bought one of the first Aquavans (our first boat) and have had some absolutely marvellous experiences with it.
I think my wife Judy, liked it because it is a luxurious caravan, whilst I liked the boating side of it. Having had it now for a couple of years I think of it as a little houseboat and mobile holiday home.?
Here are some of the places/details of our past adventures:

Melbourne - Yarra River "camping" overnight in Melbourne Southbank and Marybrynong River.
Lake Nagambie and Goulburn River
Lake Eildon
Murray River - more than 500 kms including Mildura to Mannum
Gippsland Lakes (we moved to Nicholson River when we retired)
Hawkesbury River - Brooklyn, Berowra, Bobbin Head, Wiseman's Ferry, Windsor etc.

That's just a sample! We have also enjoyed many interesting and unusual campsites on land. Being fully self-contained we have probably spent more time in free campsites than caravan parks - however there is a place for both. Perhaps one day we might include the English and possibly European inland waterways - absolutely fantastic!

If you are ever interested in finding out more about it, please don't hesitate to contact me!
